@ aarong "one persons terrorist is another persons freedom fighter" In a twisted way, you have a point. It's sort of the same story with Fidel Castro. There's a group of people that hate him and another group that loves him to death. Obviously Nasr admired the sheikh for his stand on women's rights. I wouldn't be so quick to judge her as a supporter of terrorism. If you're a Babe Ruth fan, do you admire him for his game, or are you a supporter of gluttony and womanizing? Personally I find Fadlallah's campaign disgusting. Keep supporting our troops! Give money, visit our troops in the hospitals, donate your old cell phones, pray for the troops, give! give! give!,

No wonder the US establishment is in favor of perpetual war and myopic fealty ala Wolf Blitzer's former employer. The British Ambassador to Lebanon made more positive and flattering statements about your "terrorist" than Ms. Nasr of CNN did, http://blogs.fco.gov.uk/roller/guy/entry/the_passing_of_decent_men ...and the Ambassador still has a job. What is wrong with most of you? Why the blind allegiance to indoctrination? Israel achieved independence via "terrorist" tactics, but its okay when you and those you support do it? When "the other" does it, or advocates it, it is "terrorism". Grow up, or continue to make the same mistakes diplomatically, over and over.

@ adamso020604They did that already and danced on the streets, and still dancing in the streets every time one of our soldier's gets killed or they start fisrt roketing and bombing innocent Jews inside Israel from Gaza. I don't recommend bombing anything, but I won't mind dancing in the street if after they built the Said Mosque, it gets bombed. Won't you??

Nazis were merely members of a political party in Germany that demonized Big Business and the aristocracy. It was a populist movement that demonized the wealthy much like Obama's gov't take over. I am not for big gov't or German. We just want to let people know if there are terrorists sympathizers in their neighborhood just like Meagan's Law.

It seems as if everyone forgot that there are good qualities even in what may be personified as “bad” people. It strikes me that people take something and run with it without understnding the base of the the story. Octavia never said that she supports Hizbullah, she said that she respected the guy for some of the things he stood for, and she clarified what those things were by stating that he respected women and stood against how women were treated in the Arab world. Whatever happened to freedom of speech? Or is it freedom of speech only when it suits the big bosses?

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/world/la-fg-gaza-war-crimes-20100708,0,6407678.story...this is a story in the LA Times about how Israel committed war crimes during their last invasion in the gaza strip. Three stooges father and the rest of the jew hatemongers must read this report, which was compiled by a jew. jews committing murder was a common trait. Now, the muslim extremists are just as bad. I don't like or support any of them, but the jews need to be honest and admit they are part of the problem too. And jews advocating murder or acts of intimidation are just as bad as the muslim extremists and clearly they are committing war crimes as well. Jews and muslims must stop bringing their religious hatred to America and America must cut ties to the middle east.

If you were hiding behind your brother to attack me, and I have warned your brother to get the hell out of the way and take cover and don't follow the orders I gave him, you are gonna go down and your brother is gonna follow. If you can't understand that, then you was born with a brain half the size of an ant.If a Jew wrote such garbage, it must be a half ant brain schmuck like you, who probably converted to Islam, because of his half ant brain.

Once again three stooges father you show how much of a hate monger you are! First, try reading the article before you condemn it ah! You are just an old miserable jew hatest bent on trying to contaminate everyone around you with your vile beliefs. I don't doubt for one second you and other jew hate mongers ARE planning acts of terror against muslims. I won't be surprised when I read about you being arrested. It's obvious hate has consumed you. Denouncing an article without even reading it and condeming anyone (a fellow jew) for telling the truth clearly shows what a monster you really are...more than willing and ready to murder people. Please die soon!

timo46 please dont talk history to me iam a huge history buff. 1 the nazis made plenty of money they had no problem with business just not jewish businesses. they held their own aristocracy. the brown shirts were not all gay and they did not kill the jews.however the nazis did kill any one who did not support or dispareged the fuhrers wishes. so if you want to compare a child rapist or sexual predator to "terrorist sympathizers"american workers, then you my friend are a fascist nazi. there is no comparison one is scum the other is just a hard working american. but hey post their picture and make sure you and your fascit party can get out all those sympathizers. heil timmy der fuherer. meagans law what an ***. 8 Jewish school kids are dead and an Arab Muslim woman who has no relationship to "Palestine" is praising them. Face it. The Arabs in the middle east have treated the Jewish and Christians like dog poop. The Palestinian terrorists should move in with their Iranian Brothers and sisters and get the heck out of Gaza.

[edit]Biography

Nasr was born in Beirut, Lebanon. Octavia Nasr studied in Beirut between 1968 and 1978; primary and middle school at the Sœurs des Saints Cœurs in the city in Hadath, Beirut. She completed her high school studies at the Collège des Pères Antonins in Baabda, Lebanon. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Lebanese American University (LAU). She has started her graduate studies in Middle Eastern affairs at Georgia State University (GSU), in Atlanta, Georgia.
Nasr is married and has two daughters. She lives in Atlanta, Georgia. She is fluent in Arabic, French and English.[3]
[edit]Career

Nasr worked at CNN from 1990 until her dismissal in 2010. Most recently, she served as the Senior Editor for Arab affairs across all of CNN’s platforms. In this capacity she appeared on CNN shows to discuss breaking news in the Middle East and how they pertain to the US and the world.
Nasr is the recipient of many prestigious awards including: Edward R. Murrow for Continuing Coverage: CNN, Coverage of the Middle East Conflict; the 2006 Golden Cedar Award for Excellence in Journalism from the Lebanese-American Chamber of Commerce as well as CNN World Report’s Achievement Award.[3]
[edit]Fadlallah comments and CNN dismissal

Following the death of Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah on July 4, 2010, Nasr tweeted on the same day that she was "Sad to hear of the passing of Sayyed Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah.. One of Hezbollah's giants I respect a lot..."[4]
Nasr was criticized for this perceived show of sympathy and support for Hezbollah, an organization designated by the U.S. government as a terrorist group, amid claims that her stated position was incompatible with her role at CNN as editor of news on the Middle East.[5][6][7] The pro-Israel media watchdog group Honest Reporting, one of the first organizations to respond to her tweet, noted Fadlallah's controversial praise for the Mercaz HaRav massacre, the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing, the Iran hostage crisis and Iran's efforts to build long-range ballistic missiles. He also had made statements advocating Holocaust denial.[8][9]
In response to reactions on her comment, Nasr wrote on July 6 that the tweet was "an error of judgment." She concluded her statement by saying that Fadlallah was "revered across borders yet designated a terrorist. Not the kind of life to be commenting about in a brief tweet. It's something I deeply regret."[10] A CNN spokesman responded saying that "CNN regrets any offense her Twitter message caused. It did not meet CNN’s editorial standards."[8] The following day, on July 7, CNN fired Nasr. In an internal CNN memo announcing Nasr's departure, CNN International’s senior vice president for newsgathering Parisa Khosravi wrote, "We believe that her credibility in her position as senior editor for Middle Eastern affairs has been compromised going forward."[1]
